Description
Canrib 150mg Tablet contains Olaparib (150 mg per tablet), a targeted anti-cancer medicine from the PARP inhibitor group. It blocks PARP enzymes that cancer cells use to repair their DNA, which leads to the death of cancer cells, especially those with BRCA or other homologous recombination repair gene changes. It is prescribed for certain ovarian, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers, often as maintenance therapy after platinum-based chemotherapy, as decided by the treating oncologist. Each pack contains 60 tablets. It is marketed by Adley Formulations.

Directions for Use
Take by mouth exactly as prescribed by the oncologist.
It can be taken with or without food, at about the same time each day.
Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not chew, crush, dissolve or split it.
If a dose is missed, take the next dose at the usual time. Do not take a double dose.
Do not change the dose or stop treatment without consulting the doctor.
Important Safety Information
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, tiredness, anaemia, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, headache and taste changes. Regular blood counts are needed during treatment.
Rarely, serious problems can occur, including bone marrow or blood disorders (MDS/AML), lung inflammation (new or worsening cough or breathlessness) and blood clots.
Tell the doctor about any kidney, liver or lung problems and all other medicines and supplements, as some can interact with olaparib.
Avoid grapefruit and Seville orange (and their juices) unless the doctor says otherwise.
Not for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Effective contraception is advised during treatment and for a period after it, as directed by the doctor.
Report any serious side effects (fever, unusual bleeding, bruising, breathing difficulty, leg swelling or pain) to a doctor immediately.
Storage
Store in the original bottle, within the temperature range printed on the label, protected from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.
