Description MDS-O 300mg Tablet contains Azacitidine (300 mg per tablet), an oral anti-cancer medicine from the antimetabolite and hypomethylating agent group. It works by being taken up by rapidly dividing abnormal blood cells, where it helps restore normal gene control over cell growth and allows blood cells to mature more normally. It is prescribed for adults with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) who are in remission after chemotherapy and cannot undergo a stem cell transplant, and for myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) as per available product information, as decided by the treating haematologist.
